COMMERCIAL EPC (Energy performance certificate)

The Process

(When a site visit is required) we will agree an appointment time where we will visit the building, take some photographs (lights, HVAC, hot water etc) and take some measurements. If you have existing floor plans please provide an electronic copy prior to the site visit (in the case of large/complex buildings a set of floor plans will be mandatory).

A site visit takes approx. 45 mins for a two story building.

We will then produce a draft EPC back at our office and email you the draft with our invoice when this is complete. We usually do this on the same day as the site visit. Our banking details are shown on the invoice.

When you have approved the draft and we have received payment we will lodge the EPC and email you a copy of the live certificate.

This marks the end of the process.

Note, where a residential space resides above a commercial premises this part of the building will not be included in the Commercial EPC energy calculations.

If the residential part has a separate address to the commercial part then a separate domestic EPC will be required. We do not provided these ourselves but can give you the contact details of a couple of decent Domestic Energy Assessors who may be able to help.
