As the PV system will likely be as yet uncommissioned (or still in planning/conceptual stage) an MCS commissioning certificate will be unavailable as standard evidence. A design specification that shows the kWp, panel type / no. of panels, and orientation/placement of the proposed system will be sufficient evidence for the purpose of BRUKL/SBEM, BREEAM or Shell EPC.
In larger buildings where a lighting specification has been produced, providing a copy of this specification to the building energy modeller is pretty much all you need to do, in order to satisfy the lighting information requirements. A lighting design specification should contain multicoloured flooplans of each lighting zone, and an associated set of calculations showing the DESIGN LOADS in the form of w/m2 at 100 lux. When adding lighting data to an energy model it is crucial to include at least one correctly defined light type that covers the majority of the building. As a minimum this is the lighting load W/M2 (luminous efficacy). For example, an LED ceiling panel may use 30 watts of power to produce a luminosity of 3000. This would give it an efficacy of 3000 / 30 = 100 Evidence to support this could be a lighting brochure similar to the one below.
